Located at the quieter end of The Valley, Limes Hotel is one of Brisbane's famed boutique hotels with a convenient bar located on the roof. Here you can grab a cocktail, enjoy some DJ tracks or settle in for a movie as part of Rooftop Cinema. Each night the venue plays host to a different form of entertainment. On Thursdays you can enjoy a live jazz band while for Friday drinks you'll find an acoustic band playing. Limes Hotel is at its best on a breezy Sunday afternoon where the venue relaxes the dress code and patrons can play ping-pong, nipple on cheap gourmet pizzas and sip on Carona Buckets.

Despite the multitude of entertainment, its the rooftop bar's ambience that really can't be beaten. Patrons can come here to wind down after a hectic day or night, take in some beautiful scenery and take part in an audible conversation. Much like the hotel's interior, the rooftop bar is lush and relaxed. Desiger printed pillows are propped up on wooden benches, white bar stools line the balcony and black shapely stools are scattered around. Its simple, but with a view like that there's really no need for fussy furniture.

The cocktails and tapas plates on offer are reasonably priced and are of an exceptional quality – particularly the seafood. Noshing on delicious Thai fish cakes with sweet chilli lime sauce and Murray River salted fries with lime aioli and oysters with finger limes and lemon pearls make for ideal afternoon snacks. The selection of pizzas are also perfect for sharing over beers. Or, for an old classic, enjoy their wine and cheese special for just thirty bones.
