I'll admit I'm a tad bias when it comes to venues with a vintage flair. I'm a sucker for thrift and antique stores so any place filled with the decadent old rather than the sparkling new is already winning in my books. Kerbside is one of these places.

Taking the majority of its contents from the city council's curb side pick ups, Kerbside is filled with wonderfully miss matched furniture. Perfectly imperfect, there is a fresh urban style to Kerbside. You can tell a professional interior designer has been at work here.

Underneath the sexy lighting is ample room to run a muck and cut a rug to the retro disco and mo-town tracks playing.  The bar is a little small to be desired and on a busy Saturday night you may be forced to wait awhile to order. On offer is an extensive range of top quality and boutique bottled beers, wine and a bespoke selection of cocktails. Getting the drink is the hard part, but once its in your hand finding a place to sit and enjoy it is easy. Seating inside is plentiful while outside in the courtyard it is both spacious and intimate, allowing both smokers and non-smokers to exist in harmony under the stars. Thank you fresh air!

Up until recently I was under the ignorant impression that Kerbside was just a night time bar. On the contrary. Though the relatively new venue has some award winning cocktail connoisseurs behind the bar, Kerbside can still hold its own when it comes to non alcoholic beverages. I was delighted to discover they serve a scrumptious range of old fashioned milk shakes, along with teas, coffee, juices and soft drinks. Their lunch and snack  menus are a cut above your average tapas plates and include salmon with cream cheese and anchovy, crumbed Haloumi, sushi rolls, and a wholesome selection of fresh sandwiches and wraps. Sweet toothes won't be able to resist the chocolate dipped banana, strawberries and marshmallow skewers.

Kerbside also has free Wi-Fi and plays music during the day so whether you visit midday or midnight its bound to be a winner in your book too.
